THE DIVING TRY
This monumental bronze figure is proposed as part of the redevelopment of the West side of Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
The Diving Try will represent one of the most thrilling rugby events and will create a landmark and a place to meet with seating.
It will also be designed to act as both a counterpoint to the existing Line-Out sculpture at the East of the stadium and by extending the base into a series of long steps will provide an elegant vehicle barrier without relying on a forest of bollards.
The model was hand made by Harry Gray in his Cambridge studio using the traditional method of construction before being scanned and printed for presentation.
Landsape Architect Jamie Buchanan will integrate the landmark bronze into the newly developed West stadium entrance and create an exciting and functional setting for the sculpture.
